Transforming an attic into a master bathroom

Most people with an attic likely use the upstairs space for storage. Some may have utilized it further and transformed the area into a guest room or an office of sorts. Typically, attics are not insulated and as a result of this, the temperature of the room may vary more than desired. Adding insulation to an attic, as well as renovating an attic, is not an easy job - but the hard work can certainly pay off.
Just take a look at what Rita did. The homeowner wanted to better utilize her attic, and because it was connected to her bedroom, she wanted to turn it into a master bathroom. The project, which is documented on the blog South Cypress, required tons of work and plenty of hours. This is no ordinary DIY home improvement project, but it's great a source of inspiration for that dream home of yours.

At the start, Rita's attic looked just like any other attics. Then her crew got to work.
It all started with the framework, as well as wiring, plumbing, and insulation. The team also had to install a dormer, which helped create more space in the attic and thus allowed Rita's vision to come to life.
The sleek new design is just what Rita envisioned. The all white amenities complement the floor tile perfectly.
According to South Cypress, this unit is made up of "custom maple wood."
Below, you can check out a walk-through of the master bathroom. What do you think of Rita's renovation? Sound off in the comments section below.
