How to create wall-mounted mason jar pots for your plants

Some DIY projects take hours of planning and even more time for execution. Others are a quick and painless affair. This project falls into the latter category. It's over so quickly that you'll be left wondering if you left anything out. Don't let the quick turnaround turn you away, though — this easy project leaves a lot of room for creativity, and the simplicity of the project will ensure that you've got plenty of time to make it your own.
When you're done with this project, you'll have a lovely set of planters to hold herbs in. They'd work well inside and out, and given their diminutive nature, they'll hang securely on any wall.

To complete this project, you'll need a staple gun, a ruler, and a hammer for tools. For supplies, you'll need upholstery nails, and enough leather straps, wooden boards, and mason jars to make as many planters as you're planning to make. If you're creating three of these adorable little herb jars, you'll need three leather straps, mason jars, and so forth.
As with any project worth making, this one starts with some measuring. If you're using all the same-sized supplies as she is, feel free to follow her measurements (mark 8 centimeters in from each corner if you're using a 20 x 20 cm square). If you're using your own supplies, use your mason jar as a guide.
After making her marks, she puts her mason jar in place so that the fit is just right.
After your staples are in place, cover them up with some pretty upholstery nails. Gold contrasts nicely with the brown, leather strap, but feel free to use whatever would best match your space.
Given the lightweight nature of these pots, you don't even need to nail them to the wall. A couple Velcro strips on the backside should be plenty to secure these.
