Directions
1. Save pictures you'd like to use in your custom jewelry on your computer. Select and print the ones you'd like to use using colored or black-and-white ink, depending on the look you want to achieve.
2. In the print settings, select "Contact Sheet" and deselect "Fit Picture to Frame" for a 1-inch by 1-inch picture.
3. Cut the template from the packaging of the blank pendant to use for your picture cutout.
4. Trace the template onto your picture using a pen or pencil, and then cut that out as well.
5. Apply Mod Podge to the inside of the pendant blank using your small sponge brush. The thicker you apply it, the longer it will take the Mod Podge to dry.
6. Use the end of the sponge brush to push the picture into the blank form, being sure to press out all air bubbles and wrinkles. Apply another coat to the top of the picture as well.
7. Clean any excess Mod Podge from the pendant blank and allow it to dry.
8. Use these same techniques to create other looks, including stickers and lace backing with bows. All you do is follow the same steps to cut your template from either lace or sparkle paper, for example, and apply Mod Podge and let it dry. Use your glue gun to attach satin bows or other items to the pendant blank if you wish.
9. Mark one small plastic cup with your marker. Make two lines equidistant from each other so that you can mix a one-to-one ratio for your resin. Pour your resin mixes into a plastic spoon and into one of the small cups, then stir for two minutes with a craft stick.
10. Combine the mixture in your other small cup and stir it for another minute.
11. Using your craft stick, scoop the resin mixture into the pendant blanks until you create a dome effect. Let dry for 24 hours.
12. Make your necklace by attaching jump rings to your necklace chains using pliers. Add a lobster clasp to the other end of your chain using the same method. Use another jump ring to attach the pendant to your necklace.
Pro tip: After 25 minutes of drying time, if there are still air bubbles in your resin, blow gently on the resin at a 45-degree angle. You can also use a toothpick to remove bubbles or any dust particles that may have landed in your resin.
