How to crochet the lacy lattice stitch (video and written instructions)

The lacy lattice is a really pretty stitch, combining rows of shells with intricate-looking webbing. It looks impossibly difficult to put together, but is a lot easier than it seems and can easily be accomplished by an intermediate level crocheter.
Perfect for scarves and shawls, this stitch would also be ideal to drape over your table or use as a throw. Thanks to the airy lattice work, it crochets up quickly too.

Materials
Most mid-weight or fine yarns are ideal for the lacy lattice stitch but, as with all intricate stitches, avoid going too chunky as you will lose definition. Check your manufacturer's band for hook size suggestions. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
