Use these 4 effective methods to clean stained bakeware for good

If you cringe every time you pull out a cookie sheet or frying pan, it might be a good time to give them a major overhaul. While it may be tempting to toss your stained pan in the trash, you can save yourself a couple bucks (and keep the landfills a little less full) by removing the stains.
Instead of tossing the stained pan for a new one, try one of these simple tactics to give your cookware a much-needed makeover:

1. Boil it away:
If your saucepan or frying pan has seen better days, you can remove the burnt on the crust with a little heat and a little patience.
1. Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of vinegar to your pan.
2. Bring the water and vinegar to a boil.
3. Remove the pan from the heat and add 2 tablespoons of baking soda.
4. Let the mixture fix (thank you science) before disposing of the liquid.
5. Use a scouring pad to scrub away the burnt stains with ease. (You can add a bit of baking soda and water to form a paste if you need a little extra scrubbing power).

2. Panty hose
If you're looking for a cheap way to get those pans clean, look no further than your underwear drawer. You can use pantyhose to scrub away stains on your nonstick pans. Simply cut the foot off the hose, crumple it into a ball and scrub away.
3. Foil ball
One simple trick that will work on any metal pan is to crumple up a bit of tinfoil, dip it in your favorite dish soap and scrub away the stains. The abrasive texture of the foil will pull stubborn stains away.

4. Freeze it off
Toss your crusty pan into the freezer for a few hours before scrubbing. The frozen food will come off much easier.
