1. Clean stained pans in a breeze
Sick of scrubbing for hours and hours on end? Fill your nasty pan with water and bring it to a boil. Once the water is bubbling, remove it from the heat and add 2 tablespoons baking soda. Put a lid on the pan, and let it soak for a few minutes. Then scrub away the stains with a bit of elbow grease.

2. Get rid of food in the microwave without all the work
The microwave is a little awkward to clean. To make it easier, toss a wet rag into the microwave, and run it on high for 2 minutes. Let the steam seep in the microwave for about a minute, then (wearing an oven mitt), use the hot rag to wipe the inside of your microwave clean.

3. Toss your shower curtain in the washer
Stop tossing out that shower liner when it gets a bit funky. You can wash them (yes, the plastic ones) in the washer.

6. De-funk your mops and sponges
Don't throw out your kitchen mop when it starts to smell funky. Instead, fill a bucket with a quart of water and 1/4 cup salt. Soak your mops and/or sponges overnight and rinse in the morning.

7. Say goodbye to glitter
Glitter is fun. It's sparkly and pretty, and it makes craft projects shine, but it's also a pain to clean up. Catch all those stray pieces of glitter in a breeze using some play dough. Masking tape works well too!

8. Remove candle wax from the carpet
Get candle wax out of the carpet (or any fabric) with an iron and a paper bag. Lay the bag over the wax spill, and run your hot iron over the bag. The bag will soak up all of the candle wax.

11. Clean your oven burners with little work
Save your arm muscles for the gym. Stick your burners (or the burner pans) into a plastic resealable bag. Add 1/4 cup ammonia, seal, and let them sit overnight. In the morning, wipe them down with a wet sponge. Poof!
