Upgrade the look of plain candle holders with this awesome epsom salt technique

Looking for fun way to dress up some candles? This fun craft is perfect for gift giving or sprucing up the table. Most of the materials for this project are cheap (you can snag the glasses or plain jars from the dollar store.) This is a great project for grownups or tweens, and they're easy to personalize.
A fun twist on this project is to snag a few plates or tray (from the dollar store too) and match your salt colors to create a pretty display. Ready to get crafting?

2. Once you get the shades you like, coat a glass with a layer of Modge Podge. Slip your fingers inside the glass and roll your covered jar in the colored salts until completely covered. Let dry.
Tip: If you want a little extra coverage, wait until the first layer of salt dries and repeat the process.

3. Add your candles. Pour a little of the plain salt in a bowl or on a plate to serve as a base for our new decor.

If you're feeling really crafty, you could do stripes in different colored salts or use this technique to coat a vase or other glass jar. How pretty does this final product look?
