How to create a stunning plant holder using brackets

Do you love having plants indoors but don't have a lot of shelf space to put them? Do you like variety for eye appeal? If you want to save valuable shelf space, try hanging plants.
This simple DIY project gives you the beauty of a hanging plant without a ton of work, even if you aren't extremely handy with tools. Be sure to pick a bracket that's wide enough for whatever plant you want to hang so the leaves don't get smashed against the wall.

The end product will make you look like a handyman, and it gives you a great spot to hang a plant. Before you start drilling, gather the supplies and measure the height so the plant doesn't end up too close to the ground.
Materials:
- 1 ornate, lipped cast iron shelf bracket
- Screws
- Drill
- Hanging plant holder
- Plant
Instructions
1. Pick the location for the shelf bracket. If the bracket is heavy, you may want to find a stud to secure it or use hollow wall anchors so the screws don't come out of the plasterboard.
2. Place the bracket on the wall and mark the screw holes. Pre-drill the holes with a drill. Attach the shelf bracket to the wall with the screws.
3. Place the hanging plant holder on the lip of the cast iron bracket, and put the plant in the holder.
