6 fun science experiments where it's fun to watch color change

Mixing more than one color together has always had a certain wow factor about it. But, how exciting would it be to create and/or change colors by using simple household materials? Science makes it possible to have fun while watching colors from the rainbow transform.
Here are six videos of various science experiments where colors change:
1. Traveling rainbow water ( h/t IncredibleScience)

In this video, the amateur scientist makes the colors of the rainbow travel. This simple and fun experiment is great for almost any age and only a few normal household materials are needed. With the assistance of capillary action, the empty cups are able to fill up to create all the colors of the rainbow.
2. Gorgeous color changing flowers (h/t Elearnin)
Do you enjoy placing flowers around your home, but you have difficulty finding that perfect color? Maybe you need a specific shade of blue in your bathroom; have fun and watch the ordinary white flowers change into that desired color! Just a little time and a few ingredients and you are ready to display these unique flowers. Wait until your guests see the many colors you created by using science.
3. Exciting rainbow design skittles (h/t AWESMR kids)
Who doesn’t like Skittles? They are so colorful and fruitylicious. Yum! But, in this fun and fast science experiment, the amateur scientist shows us that Skittles are not just for eating! The color design possibilities are endless and easy. How many different colorful designs can you create with your bag of Skittles?
4. Amazing color changed milk experiment (h/t mathtutordvd)
Be ready to be WOWWED! In this experiment, the amateur scientist uses only milk, dish soap, and food color to make the milk change into fantastic colors. While food coloring is not needed for this experiment to work, you will want to use it so you are able to see the motion (the wonderful colors are an added bonus) due to the white color of the milk.
5. Cabbage and chemicals simple color change (h/t HouseholdHacker)
For this experiment, the experimenter uses purple cabbage as a pH indicator. He also uses some chemicals most of us have in our homes, such as washing soda, baking soda, lye, and vinegar. As he pours the cabbage substance, each of these chemicals immediately changes color. Did you know cabbage could do that?
6. Cool colorful flamethrower experiment (h/t TheBackyardScientist)
There is nothing boring about this science experiment! This young man shows us how to take household chemicals and make them into rainbow colored flames. As always, when doing any science experiment involving flames or chemicals, adult supervision is required. What color flamethrower did you enjoy the most?
