How to embellish a photo album with neckties

In an age when almost everyone owns a camera phone, pictures have become an even bigger part of our lives than ever before. From meals to special moments, pictures get taken constantly. But how often do we actually look back and reminisce on the pictures we take?
With this DIY project you can create a cute place to store pictures. Whether you give this photo album as a gift or leave it in the living room for family and guests to flip through, it is an easy way to give pictures a stylish new place to be displayed. Materials
- 2 neckties
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
- Embroidery needle
- Embroidery floss
- Small photo album
- Super glue
Instructions
1. Measure 6 inches up one of the ties, starting at the pointy tip. Make a cut at the 6-inch mark. Repeat with the other necktie.
3. Using the embroidery floss and embroidery needle, sew a design onto each necktie. You can stitch a simple shape, such as a heart, or letters, such as initials.
4. Apply super glue to the back side of one of the neckties, attaching it to the photo album. Press firmly to make sure it is secure. Repeat with the other necktie.
5. Apply super glue to the back of the necktie that overhangs the photo album.
6. Fold the overhanging part of the necktie so it is tucked around the inside cover of the photo album. Press firmly to make sure it is secure. Repeat with the other necktie.
