How to make party favor jars

Sometimes the best part of the party is actually the party favors. How can you make party favors a big hit among guests? Make the containers for the favors just as cute as the favors themselves.

Materials
- Mason jar
- Black chalkboard paint
- Ruler or measuring tape
- Painter's tape
- Pink acrylic paint
- Paintbrushes
- Multicolored yarn
- Scissors
- White puffy paint
DIY Everywhere
Instructions
1. Paint the mason jar lid with the black chalkboard paint. Allow it to dry.
2. Wrap painter's tape around the mason jar, about an inch and-a-half from the bottom of the jar.
3. Paint the bottom portion of the mason jar pink.
4. Measure and cut several strands of the multicolored yarn into 12-inch pieces.
5. Wrap the strands of the yarn around the lid of the jar, all at the same time. Tie off the strands with a double knot.
6. Once the paint has dried, peel off the painter's tape.
7. Write the words "thank you" in white puffy paint onto the lid of the mason jar.
