How to make marble coasters with napkins

If you want to protect tables, then coasters are a must-have item. Instead of tucking them away between uses, why not make a set of cute coasters that you'll actually want to have on display?
You can transform plain wood coasters into a glam place to set down your drink with help from a small list of materials. Check out the instructions and video to see how you can make these chic coasters for yourself.

Materials
- White acrylic paint
- Cup or small bowl
- Wood coaster
- 3 paintbrushes
- Napkin with marble print
- Black permanent marker
- Scissors
- Decoupage medium
- Sanding block
- Metallic acrylic paint
Instructions
1. Pour white paint into a cup or small bowl, and paint the inside of the coaster white.
2. Unfold the napkin and place the coaster onto the napkin. Trace around the coaster with a black permanent marker and cut along the line.
3. Paint decoupage medium onto the coaster.
4. Press the napkin into the decoupage medium, smoothing out any lumps.
5. Cut away any excess napkin with scissors.
6. Paint decoupage medium onto the napkin and rim of the coaster. Allow the decoupage medium to dry.
7. Sand the rim of the coaster withi a sanding block until it is smooth.
8. Paint the rim of the coaster with metallic acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry before using the coaster.
