How to make a mosaic table

If you love the look of mosaic tables, why not pick up a table from the thrift store or a garage store and try to make your own? It's easier than you might think, and designing your own pattern is so much fun.
This tutorial will show you how to safely break up a mirror, but if you happen to have pieces of a broken mirror already, this is a creative – and safe – way to use them. Check out the video and the instructions to learn how it's done.

Instructions
1. Put some glass cutter oil on a paper towel and wipe it over the mirror tile you'd like to cut.
2. Wearing work gloves to protect your hands, score a line with the precision knife across the mirror where you'd like to break it. Carefully bend the mirror, using the knife to cut deeper if necessary.
3. Repeat step 2 until you've cut the mirror into as many pieces as you'd like to incorporate in the mosaic.
4. Gather the whole mirrored tiles, the mirror shards and the small mirrored tiles you'd like to use. Place them on the surface of the table in whatever pattern you'd like.
5. Secure each piece in place. Start with the biggest pieces and continue gluing in each piece until the table is covered.
