How to make a crate end table

Wooden crates are useful for so many things, including as pieces of furniture. This DIY project transforms a long crate into an efficient end table that doubles as a small storage space. As long as you can find the right size crate, it's such an easy project to make.

Materials
- Plastic tarp
- Long wooden crate
- Sanding block
- Wood stain
- 2 paintbrushes
- Table legs
- Chalk paint
- Wood glue
- Trigger clamps

Instructions
1. Put a tarp under the crate to protect the work surface.
2. Sand the crate to remove any splinters and rough patches.
3. Coat the entire crate in your chosen color of wood stain.
4. Sand each of the four table legs and give them a coat of chalk paint with the second paintbrush.
5. Once the paint and the stain have dried, attach the legs to the bottom of the crate with wood glue. Hold the legs in place with trigger clamps until the glue dries.
