How to make a cactus with a pool noodle

Flowering plants are one of the quickest and easiest ways to brighten up a home, but what are you supposed to do if you're one of those people who can't even keep a cactus alive for more than a week or two?
Not all of us are blessed with green thumbs, but anyone could make this pretty flowering cactus plant. Check out the video tutorial and the instructions below if you want to know more. You can customize the project by the color of the pot and the color of the flowers used.

Materials
- Green pool noodle
- Ruler
- Precision knife
- Scissors
- Toothpicks
- Faux cactus flowers
- Wire cutters
- Planter pot
- Floral filler or gravel
Instructions
1. Measure how long you'd like the pool noodle to be and cut it to that length with a precision knife. Trim off any rough bits on the end with scissors.
2. Stick toothpicks into the pool noodle at an angle; these will act as the cactus spines.
3. Trim the faux flower stem with wire cutters and stick the flower into the top end of the cactus stem. Add another flower if desired.
4. Repeat the first three steps as many times as you'd like and display the new cacti in a planter pot with something to hold them in place such as gravel or floral filler.
