How to make a button bobby pin

It's fairly simple to make a button bobby pin, a fun and youthful hair accessory. As long as someone is old enough to handle a hot glue gun, she should be able to create this DIY craft. If numerous bobby pins and buttons are available, make an assortment of button bobby pins for holidays or special occasions.
When selecting buttons for this craft, consider choosing colors that contrast. Each bobby pin uses two buttons, so you can mix and match colors to emphasize the patterns of the ribbon. And on the topic of ribbon, note the texture of grosgrain ribbon. If you've never worked with this type of ribbon before, know that it's very durable and typically has longevity when used in craft projects.
