Eye-Catching Christmas Stacked Ornament
Materials Needed:
4 large crystal-cut plastic punch bowls (3.75×11.25 inches)
5 clear plastic fluted serving bowls (8.5×3.75 inches)
Adhesive
Battery-operated Christmas lights
Old glue gun
Sandpaper
Clear tape
Wire cutters
Cover from an old candy dish
Mini tree skirt or faux snow (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preparation
Remove any stickers or tags from the bowls.
2. Creating Holes
Using the old glue gun, melt small holes in a circular pattern at the bottom of each bowl.
Be gentle to avoid breakage.
Afterward, sand the holes to remove any sharp edges.
3. Assembling the Ornament
Begin with the smallest bowl, placing it upside down on a tray for easy handling.
Position the battery-operated light pack beneath the bowl, leaving 1-2 lights inside.
Thread the lights through the small hole.
Secure one of the larger bowls on top of the small one, threading the lights through again.
Keep some lights on the larger bowl.
Now, take another large bowl, turn it upside down to create a dome, and thread the lights through before securing it.
Bring the two large bowls together and use adhesive to firmly join them.
4. Repeat the Process
Repeat the above steps using the smaller bowls, followed by another set of the larger bowls.
5. Adding a Decorative Touch
To conceal the hole at the top, use the cover from an old candy dish.
6. Optional Enhancement
For an extra touch, consider placing a mini tree skirt or faux snow at the bottom of the ornament to achieve an icy sculpture tree look.
