How to make a DIY concrete planter using a towel

Working with concrete can create sticky situations, and consummate do-it-yourselfer Cat at The Rustic Willow acknowledges that. The cook, crafter, traveler, and volunteer ups the ante with this towel-turned-into-planter project. We bow to her boldness.
The project requires only five ingredients: a half bag of Quikrete, a sizable/sturdy mixing stick, some water, two 5-gallon buckets, a towel, and a little bit of patience. (You must wait 24 to 48 hours for it to dry, depending on where you live.)

Here's an overview:
After you've got your ingredients and gloves on, you are going for a soupy-type concrete mixture so you can dunk the towel — repeatedly.
You want to ensure that every bit of the towel is covered in concrete mix. That is crucial. The next step is to let the towel dry.

Or if you love the cement aesthetic but favor a more classic container, why not craft these smaller cement planters made from an old orange juice container? (And if you have plenty of space, mix and match all three types.)
