Lady grabs her old Christmas lights. Where she sticks them is seriously gorgeous

The beauty of starlight has an almost mystical allure that universally captivates the human spirit. On some nights, the mere sight of the shimmering cosmos can transform our perspective, offering solace, wonder, and a profound connection to the vast universe around us.
Yet, for those living in the coldest of climates, the simple pleasure of stargazing might be limited, with biting cold and long, overcast nights often standing in the way. But what if the enchantment of a starry night could be captured and brought indoors, allowing you to immerse yourself in its beauty regardless of the weather outside? With this DIY Starry Night Light, every night — and even the day — can shimmer with the magic of starlight, ensuring that the cosmos is never out of reach.

DIY Starry Night Light
Materials:
1 large glass bottle (preferably with a wide neck for easier insertion of lights)
1 string of Christmas twinkle lights (battery-operated or with a plug, depending on preference)
Blue paint (acrylic or glass paint)
Black spray paint
Black Sharpie Pens
1 small iron plant holder with an opening for the cord (if using plugged lights)
Directions:
1. Preparation:
Clean the bottle thoroughly inside and out, removing any labels or residue. Let it dry completely.
2. Painting the Bottle:
Using a paintbrush, evenly apply the blue paint to the outside of the bottle.
You might need a couple of coats depending on the opacity of the paint.
Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next.
3. Spray Painting the Bottle Cap:
In a well-ventilated area or outdoors, place the bottle cap on a protected surface.
Spray the top of the bottle cap with the black spray paint.
Apply two or three even coats, allowing each coat to dry fully before applying the next.
4. Drawing the Trees:
Once the blue paint on the bottle is dry, place it into the iron plant holder to keep it steady.
Using a black Sharpie pen, draw silhouette trees all around the bottle. Get creative with the tree designs, varying the height and type for a more dynamic look. Let the ink dry completely.
5. Inserting the Twinkle Lights:
Test your string of twinkle lights to ensure they're working. If you're recycling an old set, this is especially important.
Carefully insert the twinkle lights into the bottle. If your lights have a plug, ensure you leave the plug and enough length of the electrical cord outside to reach an outlet.
6. Positioning the Bottle:
If using a string of lights with a plug, thread the plug and cord through the bottom of your plant holder.
Place the painted bottle into the holder, ensuring the cord is not kinked or overly bent.
7. Lighting it Up:
Turn on your twinkle lights and watch as your bottle illuminates. Play with the lighting in your room to see the different effects: brighter ambient light will enhance the blue color of the bottle, while dimmer light will make it appear more transparent and ethereal.

Tips:
If you're using battery-operated twinkle lights, consider placing the battery pack behind or under the plant holder for a cleaner look.
