Easy way to make a rustic, industrial coffee table using wood palletsĀ

If you’ve ever had a major piece of furniture delivered, chances are the delivery company left behind a a pallet. Though they look like simple pieces of wood or other material nailed together and formed into a square, pallets are useful labor-saving devices. They help forklift operators stack and effectively sort and store large goods.
If you have a pallet lying around, Australian magazine Homes+ Magazine has a great idea that you can use for your leftover pallet: A coffee table. The industrial-style coffee table is an excellent example of upcycling. Instead of tossing the pallet in the trash, you use it to make something chic and functional. Constructing the coffee table is easy. You take a pallet and sand it down, so that it is smooth.

Then you screw caster wheels into the four corners of the pallet. Next, you place a piece of glass that is the same size as the pallet on top of the pallet, and voila, you’ve just created a nice, new piece of furniture.
Lock the wheels and position it next to your favorite couch or wherever you need a table, and you’re all set.
