Snip into a toilet paper roll for an essential tip no knitter should be without

The downside of knitting is that sometimes yarn can become a wadded bundle of confusion. However, taking the time to wind your yarn into a neat ball is actually simple to do and makes knitting much more enjoyable! Let's discuss a couple of things you can do to keep your yarn easily accessible with these DIY hacks.
In an article posted by Craftsy, you can learn how to wind yarn by hand. While this method is a bit tedious, it does work. All you have to do is start wrapping the yarn around your index finger and middle finger. Once you've wrapped it several times, you remove your fingers and continue wrapping.

Looking for an even easier way? One method for winding a yarn ball is by using a toilet paper roll. In a video posted by AllFreeCrochet, you start by snipping two places in the top of  the roll. Then you wind the yarn around the roll and the snips at the top hold the yarn in place for easy use. When you are done, squeeze out the roll and you have a tidy center-pull ball of yarn.

Interested in the method discussed above, but wanting to accomplish it a bit faster? In a video posted by Rumble Viral, you'll see that you can wind yarn on a roll quickly by using none other than a mixer.
