Not all DIY home repairs go smoothly. This video proves it in spades

Just because you put on the handyman belt doesn't mean you are one. Many of us have learned that lesson the hard way, as have some of these poor souls in this America's Funniest Home Videos clip.
In the hilarious video you see many people tinkering, and fixing themselves into a precarious situation. There's the man who trips on his stilts, a guy who falls off a ladder, another who pulls down an entire barn with one tug, and of course, one guy who gets sprayed by the toilet.

While this video will leave your giggling, and probably reminiscing on your own do-it-yourself failures, there's also a few important safety lessons in there.
Pro Referral says some of the most deadly home maintenance accidents are from electrical shocks, falling off ladders, carpentry, and gardening tools - some of the very accidents featured in the America's Funniest Home Video's clip.
Most of the people in the video look confident when performing their do-it-yourself project, but their faces turn to complete shock when they realized they were oh-so-wrong about their technique. While these wanna-be handymen and women had good intentions, they weren't very skilled or careful. So when you go to complete your next project, be sure you've done the proper research, have all the safety elements in place - and don't be afraid to ask for help from a professional.
