Watch how to do this finger knitting technique that surprises even seasoned knitters

The above video by Wool and the Gang demonstrates a finger knitting technique that is easy to do, it's a great project to do with kids. Note, this is not a stitch or pattern but an actual knitting technique that uses no needles or looms. The final product looks like a beautiful braid that can be turned into fun jewelry. 
The thickness of your finished braided rope will depend on the yarn used, and the thickness of your fingers. Try it with a double strand of worsted yarn or with jersey cotton as seen in the video. Feel free to experiment. Once you get the hang of it, you'll want to use this technique to make scarves and even blankets (just pick up stitches along the side of a finished piece as you knit the next strand).
