Bringing the warmth of the outdoors in to make a cozy room doesn't have to cost a fortune. This video with more than a million views by pepirris29, creates a beautiful bedroom accent wall in a step-by-step demonstration, using reclaimed wood from old industrial pallets.
“When you use reclaimed, there really is a life to it — each piece of wood has its own characteristics, and each of those characteristics come from its previous life," Graham Taglang of LA-based Parkman Woodworks told ecosalon.

How to make an accent wall out of reclaimed pallet wood
Directions
1. Disassemble your pallets into wooden planks.
2. Stain the wood planks into the desired colors and let them dry completely.
3. Measure planks to set one solid row, then determine the subsequent pattern with saw cuts and configure before adhering to the wall.
4. With your wall pattern cuts completed, begin arranging your pattern as you adhere with a pneumatic nail gun.
5. Stand back and admire your handiwork.
Pro tip: A variety of wood stains and lengths makes for a more visually interesting pattern for accent walls, while a more consistent look keeps multiple walls or longer surfaces from overwhelming a room.
