Written pattern
Quilted Lattice Stitch is worked over a multiple of 6 stitches, plus 1, in an 8-row repeat. Begin Row 1 below on the back, or wrong side, of your knitting.

Row 1 (and all odd/wrong side rows): p to end of row
Row 2: k2, * sl 5 sts wyif; repeat from * to last st in row, k1
Row 4: k4, *insert your right-hand needle under the strand of yarn you floated in front of your sl st in Row 2 and k the next st, dropping it off the needle by bringing the right-hand needle out from under the float, k5; repeat from * to end of row, ending the final repeat k4
Row 6: k1, sl 3 sts wyif, *k1, sl 5 sts wyif; repeat until last 5 sts, kl, sl 3 sts wyif, k1
Row 8: k1, *insert your right-hand needle under the strand of yarn you floated in front of your sl st in Row 6 and k the next st, dropping it off the needle by bringing the right-hand needle out from under the float, k5; repeat from * to end of row, ending the final repeat k1
