Watch how to crochet the lace flower star stitch (video & written instructions)

This delicate lacy pattern is just right for spring-like shawls, throws and dainty scarves.
Made up of chains and trebles, it looks impossibly fragile and complex but won't take you long to crochet up.

Materials
The lace flower star stitch is an intricate and pretty design that looks best crocheted in a light to medium weight yarn. In a chunkier yarn, the stitch will look clumsy. This stitch would lend itself perfectly to a variegated yarn, giving you all the drama of color changes without the need to weave in lots of ends. Check your manufacturer's band for hook size suggestions. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle to finish off.
