Watch how to crochet the webbed lace stitch (video and written instructions)

The webbed lace stitch is one of those wonderful crochet staples that looks fiendishly complicated - but is in fact just a mix of simple chains, single and double crochet.
You'll love this stitch for light throws and afghans for the warmer months, or why not try a lacy tablecloth?

Materials
You can use any yarn for this stitch, but beware of chunky or heavy weights as they could make you lose the definition of this delicate pattern and may give you a clumsy result. Fingering to DK yarn would be the most suitable choices. Check the manufacturer's band for hook size suggestions. You'll also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle to weave in your ends.
