Watch how to crochet the Cinderella stitch (video and written tutorial)

The Cinderella stitch features rows of regal tiaras growing from a humble platform of simple stitches - just as Cinderella in the fairytale is transformed from rags to riches. And, like all the best stories, this pattern looks complicated but is not hard for an intermediate crocheter to get the hang of, even without a magic wand.
The Cinderella stitch will give a truly spellbinding touch to all your blankets, afghans and throws. Any princess would be happy to have this pattern adorning her bedspread, or tucked round her shoulders on a chilly carriage ride.

Check your manufacturer's band for hook size suggestions. You'll also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
