Eating a juicy piece of watermelon is an effective way to beat the heat in the summer, and this fun watermelon-inspired hat is just as effective as protecting your head from the sun's rays.

Materials
- Straw sun hat
- Fuchsia paint
- Medium paintbrush
- Piece of scrap paper
- Green paint
- Small paintbrush
- Black Sharpie
Instructions
1. Remove any ribbons or other decorations from the hat to prepare it for painting.
2. With the medium paintbrush, paint the top portion of the hat and a ring around the base with the fuchsia paint.
3. Put the scap paper under the edge of the hat. Paint the outer edge of the hat green with the small paintbrush, leaving a strip of the hat's natural color between the green and the fuchsia.
4. Let the hat dry.
5. Draw watermelon seeds on the pink part of the hat with the black Sharpie.
