Materials
- Tire
- 8 nails
- Hammer
- Scissors
- Twine
- White and blue rope
- Hot glue gun
- Natural rope
Instructions
1. Lay the tire down flat. Hammer eight nails into the middle of the rim of the tire. The nails should be evenly spaced and the heads of the nails should not be flat against the tire.
2. Create a loop in a piece of twine, secured in place with a knot. Place the loop around one of the nails on the tire. Continue looping the twine around all the nails in the tire, creating a star-like pattern. Repeat this so that the twine loops around each nail two times.
3. Hammer the nails into the tire so the heads of the nails are flush with the surface.
4. Create a knot on the end of the blue and white rope and begin wrapping the rope around the knot.
5. Continue to coil the rope around itself, periodically adding hot glue to hold it in place. Once it is big enough, place it over the middle of the star-like twine and continue to coil it again until you have coiled around the original knot approximately 15 times.
6. Wrap natural rope around the blue and white rope, using the same technique as in steps 4 and 5 until the rope has been coiled around about eight times.
6. Wrap blue and white rope around the natural rope and continue to coil until the rope has been coiled around about 10 times.
7. Wrap natural rope around the blue and white rope and continue to coil until all of the tire is covered.
