Upgrade an ugly chair with this wallpaper technique

There are so many different ways to upcycle old furniture, but using wallpaper scraps is by far one of my favorite methods. Not only is it inexpensive, but it offers so many options of colors and patterns.
Almost anyone can make this project. In fact, the hardest part might be choosing the paint color and the wallpaper pattern. If you're ready to cover a chair with wallpaper, the video tutorial and the instructions below will teach you how it's done.

Materials
- Chair
- Sanding block
- Chalk paint
- Small glass or plastic container
- Paintbrush
- Wallpaper
- Scissors
- Precision knife
Instructions
1. Remove any rough bits of wood from the chair with the sanding block.
2. Pour the chalk paint into the container and coat the chair with the paint, leaving only the top of the seat uncovered. Let the paint dry.
3. Cut a piece of wallpaper the same size as the seat. Use the precision knife and scissors to trim the wallpaper until it's a perfect fit.
4. Peel off the backing from the wallpaper and carefully attach it to the seat of the chair.
5. Cut slits in each corner of the wallpaper so you can fold the corners in as neatly as possible. Trim off any excess wallpaper and smooth down the edges.
