Materials
- Pool noodles
- Measuring tape
- Permanent marker
- Precision knife
- Building form tube
- Construction adhesive
- Clamps
- Square wooden boards
- Chalk spray paint
- Stone spray paint
Instructions
1. Use the precision knife to cut each pool noodle to the length you'd like your column to be, then cut each one in half lengthwise.
2. Take the first pool noodle half and wrap it around the top of the column, cutting off any excess if necessary. Glue it down with construction adhesive and use a clamp to hold it in place.
3. Attach the rest of the pool noodle halves to the building form vertically with construction adhesive until they cover the entire column.
4. Place a line of construction adhesive between the vertical pool noodles and the noodle wrapped around the top of the column.
5. Glue two wooden boards onto the top of the column using construction adhesive.
6. Cover the entire pillar with a coat of chalk spray paint.
7. Lastly, use stone spray paint to give the pillar an elegant "stone" look.
