How to make a rustic vase with a mason jar

Materials
- Mason jar
- Light blue chalk paint
- Cardboard
- Paintbrush
- Sanding block
- Decorative twine
- Hot-glue gun
- Scissors
Instructions
1. Remove the lid and band from the mason jar.
2. Set down a piece of cardboard to protect the work surface from paint.
3. Paint the outside of the mason jar using light clue chalk paint. Allow the paint to dry.
4. Sand the mason jar with a sanding block to create a distressed finish.
5. Glue decorative twine onto the neck of the mason jar using a hot-glue gun.
6. Cut away any excess twine with scissors.
7. Fill the jar and set out on display.
