How to make mason jar Halloween votives

Halloween just isn't the same without some spooky decorations, and making the decorations yourself is half the fun. You might already have a few fun Halloween decor projects in mind, but this mason jar votive project deserves a place on your to-do list as well.
These spooky jar votives are a "bootiful" way to add a bit of extra Halloween ambiance to your home, and they're so easy to make. Involve your kids to make the project even more fun. Check out the video and the instructions to learn how it's done.

Materials
- Mason jar
- Paintbrushes
- Palette
- Green acrylic paint (two shades)
- Black acrylic paint
- LED candle
Instructions
1. Remove the lid from the mason jar and set it aside.
2. Squirt some of both shades of green paint on the palette.
3. Paint the inside of the jar green, using different shades for the top and bottom halves of the jar.
4. Use black paint to draw a spooky design on the outside of the jar such as a dead tree.
5. When the paint has dried, place an LED candle inside the jar to show off the design.
