Most people love the look of mason jars, but sometimes it's fun to spruce them up a bit. It doesn't take much to give a mason jar a makeover. This tutorial will show you how to do it using little more than some paint and some ribbon.

Instructions
1. Coat the outside of the mason jar with frosted glass spray paint using a sheet of cardboard to protect the work surface and a disposable glove to protect your hands.

2. Remove the band from the jar and hot glue a piece of lace ribbon around it. Cut off the excess ribbon.
3. Squeeze a little metallic acrylic paint onto the palette. Cover one-third of the bottom of the jar with the paint.
4. Replace the band and let it dry thoroughly before displaying anything in the jar.
