How to make a tie-dye pillowcase

You don't need to know how to sew to make yourself a cool new pillowcase or two. With this fun tie-dye tutorial, you can take plain white pillowcases and customize them with whatever colors and patterns you like.
This project is almost impossible to botch, so it's appropriate for crafters of every skill level. Check out the video tutorial and read the instructions below to learn how to make a pillowcase that will have guests oohing and ahhing.

Materials
- Pillowcase
- Rubber bands
- Sheet of plastic
- Squeeze bottles
- Water
- Dye
- Disposable gloves

Instructions
1. Tie off sections of the pillowcase with rubber bands.
2. Cover the work surface with a big sheet of plastic and place the pillowcase on it.
3. Following the manufacturer's instructions, mix the colors of dye in the plastic squeeze bottles.
4. Working in sections, cover the entire pillowcase with dye. Let it to set and then rinse it according to the dye manufacturer's instructions.

5. Let it dry. Remove the rubber bands and place the cover onto a pillow.
