Christmas and traditions go hand in hand, but it's always refreshing to switch things up a bit. While sunflowers are not flowers typically found during the holidays, they offer a bright and cheerful look that easily adds color to any holiday-inspired room.
No gluing is required in this project. Simply poke the flowers, branches and berries into the Styrofoam ball to create a kissing ball. Once finished, hang the kissing ball in front of a window, inside a doorway or in a bare corner to dress up your space for the holidays.

Instructions
1. Place a floral staple into the top of the Styrofoam ball.
2. Cut off a section of decorative twine and loop it onto the floral staple attached to the Styrofoam ball. Secure the twine in place with a knot.
3. Tie the other two ends of twine together and cut off any excess twine using scissors. This twine piece will serve as a hanger for the kissing ball.
4. Cut off the majority of the stem of a faux sunflower using pruning shears. Leave approximately half an inch of stem on the flower.
5. Pierce the Styrofoam ball with a skewer to create a hole, then press the sunflower into the hole.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the Styrofoam ball is covered with sunflowers.
7. Pierce any empty patches of the Styrofoam ball with a skewer to create a hole, then press the faux pine branches into these holes.
8. Press faux berries into the Styrofoam ball next to the faux branches or in any remaining bare patches.
