It's easy to bring out the kid in everyone at a carnival-themed party. This tutorial teaches you how to make an old-fashioned balloon dartboard that you may decorate any way you'd like. Just make sure no one is standing behind it when someone is playing.
Don't worry if you don't have a dedicated workbench with or without raised blocks for drilling. You can lean the wood against a table with an open bottom, such as a patio table, and drill the holes.

Instructions
1. Place the plank lengthwise on the workbench.

2. Using a tape measure going from end to end through the center of the plank, make an “x” at 11, 22 and 33 inches.
3. Attach the spade drill bit to the power drill and drill through the three marks.
4. Blow off the sawdust and briefly sand over the holes.
5. Sketch stage curtains and designs on the wood. Remember that you will be standing this upright.
6. Paint the design.
7. Place the tip of a funnel in a balloon and funnel in a small handful of fake gems.
8. Inflate the balloon with an air hose or blow it up yourself.
9. Tie off the balloon and put the tie-off through a hole.
10. Turn over the plank.
11. Glue the tie-off to the back of the plank.
12. Repeat Steps 7 through 11 for two more balloons.
16. Stand up the plank.
17. Place the plank in a safe and supported place for use.
