How to make a jeweled bobby pin

Love shiny hair accessories? Prepare to create this jeweled bobby pin. To make this craft on a budget, use inexpensive gems and rhinestones. Alternately, use Swarovski crystals and rhinestones for a more fashionable result.

Get kids involved in the process of creating jeweled bobby pins, too. Set out supplies for several bobby pin projects. Encourage kids to change the color of the jewels for their craft projects, resulting in multiple unique hair accessories.

Materials
- Bobby pin with 10mm round pad
- Hot-glue gun
- Glue stick
- Foil back teardrop rhinestones
- Round rhinestones
- Adhesive gems

Instructions
1. Squeeze a generous amount of hot glue on the round pad of the bobby pin.

2. Place a teardrop rhinestone on the glue, leaving room for other rhinestones.

3. Glue a teardrop rhinestone beside the previous teardrop in Step 2.

4. Continue gluing rhinestones in a circular pattern, until there are five teardrop rhinestones glued to the round pad. The design should resemble a flower.

5. Squeeze hot glue in the center of the teardrop beads.

6. Place a round rhinestone in the hot glue.

7. Peel backing from small adhesive gems.

8. Apply small sticky gems from Step 7 to the surface of the teardrop rhinestones.
