How to make a chandelier with yarn

Looking a bit like a macrame egg, this yarn project produces something that definitely will stand out at home and be a conversation piece. Mod Podge creates a hard shell around a latex balloon, so the chandelier will maintain its shape when hung.
Use any color to complement your decor. For safety's sake, use a light bulb that's much smaller than the balloon so it doesn't touch the material and create a fire hazard. If possible, use a bulb that doesn't give off much heat.

Instructions
1. Inflate the balloon and tie it off. Unravel a bit of the yarn. Hold the end of the yarn against the top of the inflated balloon. Wrap the yarn over and around the balloon until it looks like a partially-finished cocoon.
2. Tape the yarn to the balloon. Then, cut off the yarn.
3. Place the balloon on a piece of cardboard to avoid a mess. Paint over the entire balloon with Mod Podge. Let it dry completely.
4. Insert the needle into the largest visible spot of latex. Use your fingers to create a hole. Do this in several locations on the balloon. Gently peel the latex away from the inside of the yarn.
5. Wedge the pendant light bulb through the yarn and into the balloon at the base, near the knot. Cut a piece of monofilament. Tie the cord to some of the yarn with the monofilament. Hang the chandelier.
