How to use plastic bags and cellophane in photography

Like different fabrics, plastic and cellophane also work to gently blur the edges of a photograph. Use clear plastic for a soft focus without additional color, or use colored cellophane to complement or contrast the subject matter.
Placing clear plastic over the entire lens results in a view much like looking out a window that has condensation on it. Red or orange cellophane makes the subject matter look like the rays of the sun rising or setting are shining on the subject.
