How to work with crystals and prisms in photography

Light is extremely important when taking photographs, and prisms and crystals can change the way light looks in an image. Use prisms of different shapes and sizes and crystals such as quartz to manipulate natural light and add dimension to photos.
Make sure the prisms and/or crystals are big enough to be held in front of the camera without any fingertips showing in the shot. Crystals do not have to be white or clear; colored crystals create different looks.
