Prepare to get messy. This craft is a great one to do with kids. Keep the mug as a memory of how small they are, or give it as a gift to a grandparent or relative.
The tutorial uses pastel colors that emulate springtime, but color combinations are optional. Use black, orange and bright green to make mug candy holders for a Halloween party; or make five or six green-and-red printed mugs, fill them with peppermints and arrange them in a circle around a tabletop tree as a Christmas centerpiece.

Instructions
1. Squirt each color of paint into a separate space on the palette. Paint one-third of the hand lilac. Paint another third sky blue. Paint the last third of the hand yellow.
2. Gently wrap the hand around one side of the mug and lightly squeeze. Remove the hand. Rotate the cup and wrap around and squeeze the other side. Let the paint dry. Wash the hand while waiting for the paint to dry.
