This cookie stand DIY will leave guests impressed

Present your latest batch of homemade (or store-bought) cookies on a handcrafted cookie stand. Whether it's a center stand with a larger plate or smaller individual plates, guests will be impressed that you took time to create an original table decoration. For personal cookie caches, use smaller plastic plates.
It might seem counterproductive to reuse a plastic yogurt container, only to use a new plastic plate with it, but the plate is stationary and can be cleaned for recurrent use. If the plastic is strong enough to withstand a little pressure, use a wet cloth to wipe down the plate after each use.
- Clean, empty yogurt container
- Pink ball of yarn
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
- Scissors
- Sturdy decorative plastic plate
- Gold satin ribbon, 1/4-inch wide

1. Place a dab of glue on the outer top of the container. Press the end of the yarn to it. Using short glue lines for adhesion, wrap yarn around the container until the container is fully covered.
2. Run a line of glue on the top of the container. Center the plate on the glue, and gently press down.
3. Tie a bow with the ribbon around the center of the container.
