Paint an old yogurt cup & light up any room of your home

String lights are fun when you're hosting a night party outside, but when hung indoors, they can be a bit bright. Cut down on some of the glare by making these mini lampshades that act as light reflectors. You will need several yogurt containers, so stock up in advance or collect some from coworkers.
When painting the inside of the container, be sure to fully coat it. Any white spots will not reflect the light as well. The tutorial uses a very faint pink shade to color the container's outside, but you may use any shade that complements or contrasts the decor in the room where you'll hang the lights.

Instructions
1. Pour chalk paint into the palette. Paint around the container's outside. Leave the indented bottom and extended lip unpainted. Let the paint dry.
2. Pour metallic paint into the palette. Paint the inside bottom and inside sides of the container. Let it dry. Apply a second coat. Let it dry.
3. Place the container face-up on the cutting mat. Use the craft knife to cut an "X" through the bottom. The X should big enough for a bulb to push through, but small enough that it holds the bulb in place.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for as many containers as needed.
5. Turn over the container. Push a bulb down through the X. Do this for every other bulb. Hang where desired.
