Plastic Easter eggs are the secret to this unforgettable bubble mirror

If you want a creative way to decorate a mirror, then look no further. This DIY project might win the award for the most creative use of materials. Believe it or not, plastic Easter eggs are what give this mirror its eye-catching style. It just goes to show that with a little imagination, any material can create chic decor.
This project uses gray chalk spray paint to give the eggs a uniform color, but don’t be afraid to mix things up. A blue or ivory mirror would look just as beautiful in a room with neutral colors. You could also experiment with painting half the eggs with one color and half with another before gluing them to the frame in an alternating pattern.

Materials
- Large embroidery hoop
- A round mirror the same size as the hoop
- Plastic Easter eggs, about 20
- High-temperature glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
- Twine
- Scissors
- Gray chalk spray paint
- E6000 glue
Instructions
1. Place the embroidery hoop on the work surface.
2. Remove the oblong tops from the Easter eggs and discard them. Set aside the rounded bottoms of the eggs to use in the next step.
3. Put a short line of hot glue on the rim of an egg. Put another line of glue on the opposite side of the rim. Glue the egg to the rim of the embroidery hoop. Repeat until the embroidery hoop is covered in eggs.
4. Thread a piece of twine through the top of the embroidery hoop. Tie a knot in the twine so that you can hang the hoop for spray painting.
5. After hanging up the hoop, spray the eggs with the gray chalk paint. Allow the paint to dry.
6. Turn the hoop upside down. Cut off the twine and discard it.
7. Put E6000 glue around the edge of the round mirror. Turn the mirror upside down, and glue it to the back of the hoop. Follow the instructions on the E6000 package to determine the drying time.
