How to make a fabric butterfly

Looking for something to dress up a door hanging or wreath? A butterfly made from tulle is a simple craft you can glue to a length of ribbon and hang to add a touch of springtime to any decoration. The project is easy enough for a child to do most of the crafting if you want bonding time with your kid, and takes very little time to complete.
For smaller butterflies, use tulle less than 4 inches wide and cut into shorter lengths. Several smaller butterflies glued to a 2-inch-wide and 2-foot-long satin ribbon would look nice hanging on the front of the door to a child's bedroom.

8. Fold a pipe cleaner in half so it looks like chopsticks. Pinch together where it folds and twist the bottom up 2 inches. Place the white tulle's knot in the pipe cleaner's "V." Twist above twice to secure the tulle.
