Embrace the 1980s: How to make leg warmers from socks

Knee-high socks basically are leg warmers with feet, so this project turning socks into leg warmers couldn't be easier. Whether you want to relive your youth of the 1980s or you think leg warmers deserve a retro comeback, your legs will thank you when the weather gets chilly or you feel the urge to dance around the house.
When trimming the socks for this project, make sure to leave the elastic intact on the top. Use a newer pair if the elastic is old and doesn't retain its elasticity. Socks that look like they are hand-knitted most closely resemble 1980s leg warmers, but you may use any style desired.
