How to make a stylish paint-splatter canvas bag

It's easy to be environmentally friendly and fashionable at the same time. This project enhances a reusable black canvas bag, making it a fun accessory to carry. If you're not into black, use a white bag and stick with the same paint colors. It's important to use fabric paint for this craft so the colors last.
This spatter technique also looks amazing on T-shirts or black leggings. If you want a little extra color, apply paint to both sides of the bag or shirt; for leggings, apply the color down the length of the front legs. Other color combinations that look nice are blue, green, red and silver, or brown, yellow, orange and rust.

Materials
- Black canvas bag
- Soft matte fabric paint: white, pale yellow, orange, pink, purple
- Paint palette
- Flat artist's paintbrush, 1/2 inch
Instructions
1. Smooth out the bag. Squirt paint of each color into its own palette well.
2. Fill the tip with purple paint. Turn the paintbrush so it is vertical and hold it 1 inch above the bag's center. Run your fingertip along the bristles to flick paint on the bag. Continue to add paint to the brush and flick paint onto the bag in random locations.
3. Repeat step 2 with all colors until you're satisfied with the pattern. Let the paint dry.
