Transform a basket into a plush cat bed that every feline will love

Those who have a soft spot in their heart for their feline companions understand that cats crave spaces in the home that are plush and comfortable. Being creatures of habit, cats will often claim a long-term sleeping space for themselves that provides equal part privacy and enjoyment. Cat owners understand that these finicky, yet fantastic creatures require furnishings that take an above and beyond approach to happiness. When it comes to creating the ideal cat bed, a wicker basket and some extra fluffy toppings are all it takes to craft a space worthy of a cat’s affections.
A round wicker basket works best when tackling a DIY cat bed and one with handles makes it easy to transport around the home when necessary. Poly-Fil stuffing topped with a faux fur topper creates a delightful cat lounger that also looks stylish in any room. Adding a yarn tassel toy to the handle keeps this basket cat bed personalized and provides hours of entertainment for those moments when your cat chooses to refrain from snoozing. Feel free to place this cat bed in the living room for felines that are more social or tucked away in a favorite closet for cats that prefer a place to sleep that’s far from the crowds.
